THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS is a Japanese rock band.
Formed in 1985, they made their major label debut in 1991 after changing members and the band’s name.
The band went on hiatus in 2006.
・Musical style
In the early days of the band, they released many songs with a strong punk flavor.
However, with their wide range of musical tastes, they began to produce songs using samplers and sequencers to express them.
They were the pioneers of mixed rock before the rise of full-fledged rap rock and rap metal in Japan, and in the sense of “Japan’s answer to Ministry and Atari Teenage Riot,” they can be said to be the originators of digital rock bands.

To be honest, I didn’t really like it the first time I heard it.
Then I heard the later songs, and I was like, “This is so cool! Then, for some reason, I started to like the first half of the album as well. (This kind of thing happens a lot when you listen to music, right?)
I play guitar and play in a band, and I’m really fascinated by this kind of music that uses synthesizers and samplers.
I’ve always been fascinated by this kind of music, but I’ve never been able to copy it…
Damn it! It’s too complicated!
