SADS is a Japanese rock band formed in 1999 by KIYOHARU, who has been active as a vocalist of KUROYUME.
The band went on hiatus in 2003, restarted in 2010, and announced that they would be going on hiatus again in 2018.
The first album was a simple 3-piece rock’n’roll sound, the second album incorporated elements of shuffle and jazz, and actively used sound effects such as delays to strongly emphasize the mysterious and lazy image that KIYOHARU originally possessed. In the third album, the drums and bass were recorded together to emphasize the sense of groove, and the tuning of the guitars and bass was lowered to make the sound intentionally cracked, resulting in an even harder and heavier sound.
Since I like rock and roll, I like the early days of the rock and roll sound the best.
However, the fact that they challenge different musical styles with each album and the quality of their songs is high shows that they have good taste.
And KIYOHARU, the vocalist, is really good at singing and looks really cool, which I admire forever.
