Kegawa no maries is a Japanese rock band formed in 2003.
The band is composed of four men and four women.
The abbreviation “MARIES” is often used, and their fans are called MARIES MANIA.
At the height of their popularity in 2011, the band disbanded on December 31, based on Ryohei Shima‘s idea that “it would be super cool if they broke up now.”
I love them.
I love their songs, their voices, and their looks.
I think their music is really great, especially the songs that could be considered reworkings of rock ‘n’ roll and punk before their major label debut.
Their musical style ranges from rock’n’roll to punk to glam, then back to rock’n’roll, and even a concept album.
