GO!GO!7188 is a Japanese three-piece rock band that disbanded in 2012.
The band’s surf-rock style guitar riffs, Japanese-influenced melodies that passed through early Japanese rock and songs, and a strong band sound that incorporated various genres of music such as alternative rock and punk made them popular mainly among people in their teens and twenties.
I first heard them when I was in high school.
Everyone who liked rock music, male or female, was listening to it.
It was my youth.
The music I listened to when I was a teenager left a huge impression on me.
I guess it’s because the time I spent listening to it was more concentrated than now.
I can’t let myself be defeated by my teenage self!
I’m going to have fun!
In the PV of the song Ukifune introduced below, the main character riding on the shoulder of a giant Buddha eats some fruit, awakens and flies away, which I think is a uniquely Japanese expression.
Japanese people have a stance of adopting whatever is good, so if Christian elements and Buddhist elements are cool, go for it! If it’s cool, go for it!
Of course, we have respect for each.
In other words, Japanese people have no resistance to the existence of multiple god-like beings.
I think that’s one of the good things about the Japanese people.
No matter what you believe, I’m sure we can get along.
We probably believe the same thing, just with different names.
