BO GUMBOS is a Japanese rock band formed in 1987.
Formed in 1987, major label debut in 1989.
The band broke up in 1995.
The band’s name came from the word “GUMBO Music”, which first became “GUMBOS”.
Later, the name was changed to “BO GUMBOS” because the band thought it would be a good idea to have a first name and a last name, and also because Bo Diddley was playing in the studio at the time.
Later, they performed with Bo Diddley.
Coincidences like this are good, aren’t they?
