9mm Parabellum Bullet is a Japanese rock band.
Formed in Yokohama, Japan in 2004, and made their major label debut in 2007.
I think I first heard 9mm Parabellum Bullet when I was in high school.
At that time, I somehow sensed that something was changing in Japanese rock music, and I think the appearance of 9mm was part of it.
I had the impression that a lot of bands with high performance skills came out around the time 9mm became popular.
I think Ling tosite sigure became famous around the same time.
The coolness of 9mm lies in their live performances.
As you can see in the live video below, they are just so powerful.
It’s such a messed up performance, but it’s just barely a song.
How cool is that!
I especially love the guitarist Taki’s playing.
